Q & A

The MAX6675 is a temperature-to-digital converter IC that works with K-type thermocouples to measure temperatures ranging from -200°C to +700°C. This module is widely used in applications where high-temperature measurement is necessary, and it’s popular in hobbyist projects because it’s relatively easy to interface with microcontrollers like Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi.

Specifications:
  • Working voltage: 3.3V or 5V
  • Operating Current: 50mA
  • temperature measuring range: -200°C – 1300 °C [Test procedure for 0-1023 °C]
  • temperature measurement accuracy: ± 1.5 °C
  • temperature resolution: 0.25 °C
  • output mode: SPI digital signal
  •  with fixed mounting holes for easy installation.
  • storage temperature: -50 ~ 150 °C
  • module size: 25mm x 15mm x 13mm
  • Cable: 500mm
Wiring with Arduino
  1. VCC: Connect to 5V (or 3.3V, depending on your setup) on the Arduino.
  2. GND: Connect to the ground.
  3. SCK: Connect to Arduino pin 13 (for SPI clock).
  4. CS: Connect to any digital pin (e.g., pin 10 for Chip Select).
  5. SO: Connect to pin 12 (SPI MISO).

Package Includes:
  • MAX6675 Module + K Type 500mm cable
